In taking a full value chain approach, we are supporting the sustainable production and increased accessibility of affordable and nutritious food, which is critical for our expanding global population. Through various strategies, notably Cultivate Next - a $100M collaboration with Chipotle - we're spearheading the commercialization of solutions from farm to store to door.
Health & Wellness maintains a difficult pathway from invention to commercial impact, amplifying the need for the type of financing and go-to-market support Nextwave provides. We are currently developing a Fund focused on the cancer research and treatment ecosystem with a globally renowned oncology researcher and leader.
With launch costs significantly decreasing and launch access meaningfully increasing, there is now an opportunity for the development of an entirely new Space ecosystem. With a track record of 10+ previous space investments at Industrious Ventures, we continue to actively explore investment strategies in this evolving landscape.
Solutions in the Ocean & Climate theme often face a steep commercialization curve. To address this difficulty, we are exploring a Fund opportunity with a deeply non-profit in this space. We will be investing in opportunities including but not limited to supply chain, aquaculture, and alternative energy production, with an additional emphasis on supporting the broader development of the financing infrastructure.
A large portion of our historical activity falls under this broad theme, ranging from investing in innovative financial technology solutions (e.g. Paystand) to building Funds that are focused on new economic shifts (e.g. Creator Rising). In our pursuit to support companies that shape new markets and financial paradigms, we are currently developing a Fund focused on the intersection of blockchain and AI.
